CNRT is a team of researchers, headed by Professor Annette Sterr, based at the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK.
Our research interest is the neuro-physiological basis of human behaviour with particular focus on brain function following brain damage and the role of rehabilitation in recovery. We are currently undertaking a research program which aims to characterise the neural and behavioural mechanisms underlying the use of Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIT) with chronic stroke patients.
Our main research program is supported by a number of subsidiary research projects aimed at studying aspects of human behaviour using a variety of experimental methodologies. Our recently built state-of-the-art laboratory provides facilities for high-density EEG recording, fMRI simulation and patient training. As part of the Combined Universities Brain Imaging Centre (CUBIC) consortium, CNRT has access to a research 3T Siemens Trio MRI scanner based at Royal Holloway, University of London.
We are currently looking to recruit participants for a number of ongoing studies. Click on the link below if you are interested in taking part.
